The Wash Up - 13 Apr 10

Once again thank you all for taking part in the Henderson Logistics Narrathon
2010. Under near perfect conditions from an organiser's point of view, 96
people took part either as solo competitors or as one of a team.

Congratulations to the winner and home favourite, Michael Moran, who went
round in a time of 1:40:08. Sam Hart came in second at 1:42:34 by romping
past David Chidgey on the sand and beating him by 9 seconds - an outstanding
effort from a non-surf lifesaver. Special mention also goes to Peter Euers

The competition

The Henderson Logistics Narrathon is a multi-disciplined event involving a ski paddle on Narrabeen lake, ocean swim, ocean board paddle and beach run. The event can be completed by single competitors or as a team of four and is open to Surf Life Saving members and the general public. At stake is the inaugural Henderson Logistics Narrathon Cup, which can be won by any individual competitor using SLSA spec equipment.

While there are prizes for the winners, the focus of the event is on participation and all abilities are welcome.

The Henderson Logistics Narrathon is organized and run by Narrabeen Beach Surf Life Saving Club and proceeds from the event go to the club.
